Corporate Director - Paula Darlington

Paula was appointed as Corporate Director in January 2012. As a member of the corporate leadership team she will be working with the Chief Executive, Corporate Directors and Elected Members in a strategic capacity to ensure we achieve the best possible outcomes for local residents and businesses.

Paula will have responsibility for the performance of services including Housing, Leisure and Culture and Planning Services. Paula is particularly committed to ensuring that the Council puts the customer at the heart service delivery, and in ensuring that Gedling Council is seen as a high performing Council delivering excellent local public services.

Paula has worked for several local authorities as Assistant Director for Environmental Services, including Amber Valley, Rochdale and most recently Warrington Borough Council.

Paula lives in Glossop and is married with two sons. Outside of work Paula played Hockey until last year when she took up the relaxing hobby of Carp fishing.
