Town Centre Project Manager

In October, we appointed a new Town Centre Project Manager who will be responsible for driving the rejuvenation of our main shopping precincts, which include Arnold and Carlton. The new post holder will be responsible for

• Identifying some of the key areas for growth and regeneration,
• Building strong relationships with local businesses,
• Proactively working with developers to bring sites forward for regeneration
• Programming events that promote our town centres and villages
• Seek funding for the development of our high streets and town centres
• Attend local business forums and meetings to help build a network of local businesses to share advice and improve communications with the council and local enterprises.

We’re very excited to have a dedicated post that we think will make a big difference and help us with our key priority of creating a creating thriving and vibrant town and local centres in Gedling. We will keep you up to date with their progress in the future editions of Contacts.

Calling all traders

We are seeking local businesses or traders that are looking for another outlet to sell their goods or promote their business. If this is you and perhaps you rely on online sales or trade shows, have you considered having a stall on the revamped Arnold Market? To encourage new traders and businesses, we are offering an introductory rate of £10 per stall for the first five times a new trader uses it, within two months.
