When someone dies you will need to register their death within five days unless a coroner is involved
You are legally required to register a death in the District Registration office where it occurred, with details of the borough’s Carlton Register Office.
To download a copy of the death certificate, please visit Nottinghamshire County Council’s Obtaining a Certificate page.
For information on our price guide, please visit our Cemeteries Price Guide or contact our team using the details provided above.
If you receive certain benefits and are finding it difficult to pay for a funeral, you may be entitled to receive a funeral payment from the Social Fund.
We maintain burial records for all our cemeteries, allowing you to search our burial records online.
We are still in the process of inputting over 100 years of records into our new system, although you can also access our full list of records by contacting our team.
