If you are suffering from anti-social behaviour (ASB) it is important that you report problems. If the problem is an emergency and/or there is a direct threat to life or property you should always call 999.
The table below will help you identify the most appropriate number to call.
| Agency | Criteria |
|---|---|
| Police | It is very important that all incidents of ASB are reported to the police on 0300 300 99 99. This number is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. |
| Registered Social Landlord | If you are a tenant of a Registered Social Landlord, including Gedling Homes, and are experiencing ongoing issues of ASB and are aware that either the perpetrator or victim is a tenant of a housing association, you should report the problems to a Housing Officer |
| Gedling Borough Council | Issues such as noise nuisance, littering, fly tipping, dog fouling and abandoned vehicles should be reported to the District Council Environmental Health team. |
| ASB Coordinator at Gedling Borough Council |
Any new complaints of Anti Social Behaviour should in the first instance be reported to the Customer Services. |
When reporting incidents, it is helpful if you can provide as much information as possible including:
Take some time to talk to your neighbours to see if they are suffering from the same problem. The most effective way to tackle anti-social behaviour is when communities come together and work with the local agencies.
Working with your neighbours, keep a record of when the problems are occurring, detailing as much information as possible. Incident report forms are available for you to do this.
