Polling Station Review in Gedling

Gedling Borough Council completed the last review of the arrangements for voting at national and local elections in the borough in October 2011.

The council allocates voters to an area, known as a polling district, in one of Gedling’s  22 wards. Each polling district contains a polling place. The polling district to which you are allocated determines which polling place you vote at. Polling places contain one or more polling stations.

The review started on the 15th of July 2011 and was approved by a Council meeting on the 5th of October 2011.

The changes agreed came into effect when the new Register of Electors was published on the 1st of December 2011 and therefore affect any Election held after that date. The items agreed by the Council were:

If you are not happy with the results of the Review it is possible to appeal it through the Electoral Commission.
