Although the Verification Framework will not affect how your benefit is calculated, the initiative will demand proof of you and your partner's identity (including National Insurance numbers), rent, income and capital when making a claim, as outlined below:
Proof of you and your partner's National Insurance numbers must be provided along with evidence that these were issued to you. Documents accepted for this purpose will include P45, P60 and wage slips. For more information, please see our Proof of Identity page.
A rent agreement, rent book, tenancy agreement, letter from your landlord or similar will be required as proof of any rent paid to private landlords or housing associations. Documents provided for this purpose must include the name and address of your landlord or letting agency.
We will need to see proof of all you and your partner's income when processing your application, which may involve supplying computer- or machine-printed payslips. If you are unable to provide these, your employer should complete the document below as proof of income:

Benefit books and letters from the Department of Works and Pension must also be provided as proof of income through state benefit.
Proof of all bank and building society accounts, savings certificates, bonds etc must be supplied when making a claim for benefit, along with your last two months statements from bank and building society accounts.
