The following properties are exempt from Council Tax
In order to qualify as a student for Council Tax purposes a person must be enrolled on a full time course of education at a prescribed educational establishment.
The course must be one which:
A person counts as a student nurse if studying for his/her first inclusion on the Nursing Register. Those carrying out health visitor training under Part 2 of the Nursing Register, pre - registration student midwifery training and pre - registration undergraduate nursing courses all count as a 'student, rather than 'student nurse'.
A prescribed educational established for nurses are - a college of nursing and midwifery; or a college of health Dwellings occupied only by student nurses are not exempt, they will be awarded a 50% discount.
