Like all local authorities, we are subject to external audit and inspections from the Audit Commission, who are an independent watchdog responsible for monitoring local authority finances and performance.

Annual Audit Letter

Each year the Audit Commission reports on how well we manage our financial resources, as well as how we run the Council overall.

Comprehensive Area Assessment

The Comprehensive Area Assessment (OnePlace) assesses how public services are working together across Nottinghamshire.

The assessment is carried out by independent inspectors, with information on how Nottinghamshire performed available on the One Place website. (External site)

Organisational Assessment

Each year the Audit Commission will publish Organisational Assessments of all councils in England and Wales, assessing how well each council performed and managed its resources during the previous year. This is part of the OnePlace programme.
