Proms

Plans are under way for the next Gedling Proms concert which will see local people joining voices with some of the best singers and brass bands in the area to raise the roof in true ‘last night of the Proms’ style!

The annual event takes place on Saturday 28 February at Carlton Forum Leisure Centre, Coningswath Road, Carlton, Nottingham. With a wealth of vocal and musical talent already lined up to perform, it promises to be a great night out.

The Alan Johnson Singers will provide the voices this year and Carlton Brass Band will provide the music. Our guest soloist is local boy Ryan Brodsky and Sarah Julian from BBC Radio Nottingham will compere the evening.

A collection for The Mayor of Gedling’s chosen charity Hayward House Hospice will be made just before the patriotic climax of “Land of Hope and Glory”, “Rule Britannia”, “Pomp and Circumstance” and “Jerusalem”.

Bring along your Union Jack flag and hats and join in with the singing for a truly wonderful  “Last Night of the Proms” experience.

Tickets are available from all Leisure Centres at a cost of £5 and £4 for concessions, but please book early to aviod being disappointed.

Please note that due to alterations at Carlton Forum, there is now no longer a licensed bar.  However, non alcoholic drinks will be provided during the interval.
