The Killisick Estate was identified as a Priority Neighbourhood area at a Gedling Partnership Board Meeting last year. We have been speaking with local residents to find out what is important to them, and working with lots of partners to tackle a range of issues in the estate. A launch event was held on Saturday 20th March 2010 at Killisick Community Centre, where local people were able to find out more about the work that will be done and how they can get involved. There are three key themes identified for the Killisick area:
•training
•skills and future work in the area
•health
•community cohesion
