Our consultation and reseach shows that issues relating to young people are a key priority for the community. We aim to achieve the following:
- Strategic coordination of services for children and young people in Gedling Borough:
- Effective partnership working on improving services for children and young people in Gedling Borough:

- Reduction in the number of young people involved in crime and anti-social behaviour, as victims or offenders:

Our Vision for Gedling
To provide accessible, high quality services and support to enable the children and young people of Gedling to achieve their full potential in life
What we have done so far
- Formed a Children and Young Peoples Local Strategic Partnership sub group
- Agreed our vision and how we will achieve it
- Written our first Gedling Children and Young Peoples Plan (2007 - 2008)
- Adopted the County Participation Strategy
Our priorities for 2007 – 2009
- To develop partnership work in Gedling to improve the delivery of services and to develop innovative models of working including pooled budgets, joint training and information sharing
- To further develop preventative work with a focus on vulnerable groups
- To embed participation through out our work
- To make Gedling a place where children and young people feel safe
- To ensure children and young people have access to a broad range of opportunities to improve physical and emotional well being and to promote a healthy lifestyle
