Direct Debit is the easiest and most popular way to pay your monthly Council Tax instalments.
Extra instalments for Council Tax Payers who pay by Direct Debit - If you choose to pay by Direct Debit the Council can offer you instalments to end in March rather than January. You will have the choice of four payment dates, the 1st, 7th, 15th or 28th and can choose to end your instalments in January, February or March.
To arrange a Direct Debit please telephone 0115 901 3950 and provide your bank details or download and complete the Direct Debit Instruction form below.

Payment by cash and cheque is also accepted by our Cash Office at the Civic Centre, which is open from Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 4.45 pm (4.15 pm Fridays). Please note that night safe facilities are also available through our Cash Office.
Debit Card payments are accepted by both our Cash Office at the Civic Centre or by telephoning 0115 901 3949. Please note that we cannot accept payment by credit card.
Cheques should be made payable to Gedling Borough Council and sent to the Council's Cash Office at the Civic Centre.
Please ensure you include your reference number, name and address on the reverse of the cheque, as well as your Demand Notice if you require a receipt. Please note that we cannot accept postdated cheques.
Payments can also be taken free of charge at any Post Office or Payzone outlet nationwide using a Post Office Plastic Card. To order a card please contact the Local Taxation Section using the contact details provided above.
Payments by Debit Card can be processed over the phone by contacting our 24-hour telephone payment service on 0161 627 9907.
To make an online payment with your Debit Card, please log on to the Bill Payment website.
