When you come in to sign your new or existing tenancy agreement we will let you know whether or not you are entitled to a decorating allowance. The amount will depend on the condition of the property at the time of the void inspection and is given in the form of vouchers which can be exchanged for decorating materials at B & Q Stores
In exceptional cases we will give you an allowance to make good decoration after repairs. The amount will depend on the extent of the repairs and will be in the form of vouchers as described above.
If you have to move out of your home whilst we carry out extensive works, we may pay for the cost of your removal, and the connection of main services, e.g. gas, electric, water and phone, as necessary. We will also provide you with support and assistance.
Before we issue the decorating vouchers / disturbance allowance we will check to see if you owe the authority any money and may instead deduct the decorating / disturbance allowance from this amount.
