Getting a Home in Gedling

We allocate homes in accordance with our Lettings Policy. Anyone over the age of 16 can apply for housing, including existing secure tenants of the authority who wish to transfer.

There are some exceptions which relate to people who

• Do not satisfy the habitual residency test
• Are subject to immigration control
• Are previous tenants of either a Council or Housing Association who have been served with a court order, or an injunction or have been evicted for anti-social behaviour, or where clear evidence of such behaviour exists.

Once you have completed your application form, which is available from the One Stop Shop, Civic Centre, Arnold or the Enquiries Office at Cemetery Lodge, Carlton, or by contacting the Housing Services Department on the following telephone numbers 0115 901 3652/3662/3650. We will assess your housing situation and write to you confirming your application number and advising of the band which your application has been placed in. For more information about the banding criteria, please refer to the Getting a Home in Gedling guide.
