Tenants have backed the Council’s proposed transfer of its 3,400 homes to Gedling Homes.
The secret ballot saw 78.2% of tenants voting in favour of transfer. Overall, there was a 64.8% turnout.
The transfer, planned for later this year, will enable for millions of pound to be unlocked and invested into tenants homes and services.
Cllr Carol Pepper, Portfolio Holder for Housing and Health said: “This decision heralds a new era for tenants and staff who currently provide the housing service. This is a very courageous and important decision that tenants have taken, and I believe it is the right one.”
