The Democratic & Community Services Department is a core service of the Council, providing support to its officers and members in the delivery of the Council's services to the public.
The Department has two sections, Legal Services, Democratic Services.
The Legal Services Section provides legal advice and assistance to the departments of the Council. The section is also responsible for the Council's duties with regard to unlawful eviction and harassment of private sector tenants.
The Democratic Services Section supports the democratic functions of the Council including electoral registration and committee management. In addition it is responsible for various support functions. For more information about these functions please click on the relevant links.
