Gedling Borough Council Elections

Elections to the Borough Council are held every four years and are normally combined with Parish council elections. The next full Borough and Parish council elections will be held in May 2011.

UK Parliamentary Elections

Parliamentary elections are held every five years, but an election may be called at any time before that term is over.

For the purpose of Parliamentary Elections, the Borough is split between the constituencies of Gedling and Sherwood, with the results for each constituency from the most recent (6 May 2010) and 2005 election available below:

European Parliamentary Elections

European Parliamentary elections are held every five years, with the most recent held alongside County Council Elections on 4 June 2009.

Here, Gedling Borough is included in the East Midlands Regional Constituency, which returns five Members of European Parliament (MEPs) from the areas of Derby, Derbyshire, Leicester, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and Rutland.

County Council Elections

County Council elections are held every four years, with the most recent taking place on 4 June 2009. Here, the borough is divided into six County Divisions, which returns 10 councillors to Nottinghamshire County Council.
