For the purpose of Parliamentary Elections, the borough is split between the constituencies of Gedling and Sherwood, with the results for each constituency from the most recent (5 May 2005) Parliamentary Elections available below:

European Parliamentary elections are held every five years, with the most recent held alongside County Council Elections on 4 June 2009.
Here, Gedling Borough is included in the East Midlands Regional Constituency, which returns five Members of European Parliament (MEPs) from the areas of Derby, Derbyshire, Leicester, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and Rutland.
