Calling all Sports Clubs and Schools in Gedling

Gedling Sports Forum needs your nominations for the Sports Awards of the Year this April! Following the success of last year’s event the Gedling Sports Forum will be hosting the 2nd annual “Gedling Sports Awards” on Thursday 28th June.

The event is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the sporting community within the Borough. Categories for the awards include participants, coaches and volunteers at both junior and adult level.

The Awards event is the second of its kind organised by Gedling Sports Forum, a group made up of voluntary sporting organisations from across the Borough.  The Sports Forum will be joined by other local organisations including Gedling Borough Council, Nottinghamshire County Teaching Primary Care Trust, Gedling CVS, Gedling School Sports Partnership and hosts for the evening, Wheldon School Sports College.

Categories of award include sportsperson of the year, coach of the year, achievement in disability sport and junior sportsman and sportswoman, with nominations due to close on Friday 27 April.

If you would like to nominate a sports person or volunteer please download the nomination form and return it to the address on the form.

To be eligible for an individual award, nominees must be resident in Gedling. Nominated clubs must be located within the Borough of Gedling.
