Leisure Services provides many different arts and event activities around the borough throughout the year.


Each year a 'Gedling Proms' concert takes place in February and a Concert of Remembrance in November. Both are held at the Carlton Forum Leisure Centre.
'Music in Quiet Places' is the performance of classical music held at local churches during warm summer evenings.
'Village Ventures' is the Nottinghamshire programme of professional arts and entertainment for community venues. Companies and performers, specialising in theatre, music, dance and other performing arts for small spaces, tour to venues across the County offering a good night out on your doorstep (or very close to it!).

The Bonington Theatre situated within the Arnold Leisure Centre is host to a wide range of events such as plays, concerts, and recitals.

Bonfire evenings are held annually at both King George, Arnold and King George, Standhill sites.

This year 2 Play Day Events will be taking place. The first is Carlton Play Day on Wednesday 28th May followed by Arnold Play Day on Wednesday 13th August .A chance for children aged 0-14 years to express themselves through play in a safe and secure environment. This annual dance workshop festival will be taking place throughout Nottinghamshire in association with many district partners, of which Gedling Borough Council is one.
From July to September stamping ground will be hitting an array of Nottinghamshire outdoor venues with its very own dance tent. Whatever your age or dance experience stamping ground will take you on an unforgettable creative journey.
