Yes, Centres have activities for children during the summer, These range from Football, Badminton, Bouncy Castle, Swimming, Tennis plus many other sports.

Yes we do, these are at various different times, including early mornings and late evenings. Please see the Centre Swimming Timetables for further details.
When you take out the DNA membership you are automatically entitled to use all Gedling Borough Council Fitness Studios at Calverton, Carlton Forum and Redhill Leisure Centre. Please see the Fitness Studio Timetable for opening times of all three studios. The DNA membership does not allow the user free access to facilities in other Boroughs.
Yes, Gedling Borough Council operates the Gedling Leisure Card, which has concessionary categories for specific users. Simply collect a form from any Gedling Borough Council Leisure Centre or Gedling Borough Council Head Office at Arnot Hill Park, Arnold NG5 6LU.
We offer a wide and varied range of Children’s parties at most of our leisure centres. Please see individual Centre leaflets for more details.
All of the Leisure Centres are open seven days a week generally 7 am - 11pm and 10.30 pm on Sundays.

Yes, we can reserve your tickets over the phone and you can collect them before the show.

Yes , we have a full range of equipment available for most sports. There is no charge for the hire of equipment however a small deposit may be required which is returnable.
Yes, the Millennium Suite at Richard Herrod Leisure Centre is an ideal venue for your party. It has a private bar, seating for up to 250, dance floor and stage if required. There is also ample free parking at the centre. Click here to view the Richard Herrod Leisure Centre. The Richard Herrod Leisure Centre now has a licence to conduct civil wedding ceremonies.
No, however as part of the service we offer our customers we have an excellent on site caterer who produces menus to a very high standard at an affordable price.

Yes. You must ask the company to supply you with full instructions for assembly and a copy of the safety procedure. The castle must come with safety mats and you should ensure you have a rota of parents to supervise at all times.
Yes. You should allow time within your booking for set up and ensure that they are aware what time to arrive on the day.
At the time of booking. Your deposit cheque will be returned immediately following your hire.
Yes (except Westdale Lane). They are licenced for the consumption of alcohol but not the sale. You may bring your own alcohol to give to your guests but if you require a pay bar you should contact your local publican who will obtain the licence and provide the bar, stock and staff for you. You should remember to ask the publican when they will need to deliver the alcohol as they may require some time the day before hire. Please remember to book this time so that the Centre is open for you.
Unfortunately, the Centres need to be vacated by this time. You should ensure, therefore, that your bar staff adhere to the licencing laws and cease the sale of alcohol by 11.00 p.m. and ask your DJ to cease music by 11.15 p.m. This will allow your party guests time to finish their drinks and vacate the building.
Yes. We will arrange a time suitable to you and take a provisional booking to save your chosen date until you have viewed. The caretaker will be at the Centre to greet you, show you around and also take your booking if you wish. The caretaker will also open and close the Centre for you on the day of hire.
You will be supplied with an emergency contact number for the caretaker who will return to the Centre immediately to assist you with any problems.

Not all parks close during the evening. Those that do, close at dusk or have the closure time posted on the main park sign. To find out if a park closes during the evening, contact Leisure Services on 01159 013712.
All our new graves are dug for three (3) people.
No, unfortunately all grave deeds have to be in one name only.
Yes, if a grave space is available you can purchase any number of graves side by side.
Please check our rules and regulations leaflet for current legislation.
If you are the owner of the grave, you can assign the exclusive right of burial to someone else, please contact the Cemetery Administrator who will send you the information on how to proceed.
Yes, the owner of the grave must give permission, but any number of caskets of ashes can be buried in a full sized grave.
The council will contact the named grave owner who will be given the opportunity to re-purchase the grave. Should no-one wish to repurchase the grave it will revert back to the ownership of the council.
No, only human remains can be interred in our cemeteries.

Yes, please contact the Cemetery Administrator who will make arrangements to meet you.
Yes, both Redhill and Carlton Cemetery have a chapel which can be hired, they seat approximately 45 people with some standing room. Please contact the Cemetery Administrator for further information.
All our cemeteries open at 9.00am and close at dusk, closing times are posted on the cemetery gate.
Yes, please telephone the Cemetery Office who will give you details of burial times.
Yes, all we ask is that the allotment site is kept in a tidy manner and free of weeds.
Yes there are taps provided for your use, some allotment keepers use a water butt to collect rain water.
This may be possible, subject to planning restraints.
You will be sent a bill from the council, payable annually.
