Carlton Forum's Fitness Studio went through a massive redevelopment programme in 2003, and again in September 2006. The fitness suite has been extended to include an extra 25 station area with the latest in Precor equipment. So in total, Carlton Forum now has an 85 station Fitness Suite split over two levels with a different atmosphere in each. The lower level boasts a state of the art audio-visual system with personal monitors while the upper level has the same lighting system yet has no music - apart from what is on you personal music player or your very own personal TV on each piece of equipment.

In April 2007 the fitness suite was completely refurbished and all of the equipment was replaced. Redhill now offers 65 stations including top of the range cardiovascular equipment by Precor, resistance equipment by Technogym and an extensive free weights area. Each piece of cardiovascular equipment has it's own personal viewing screen, allowing customers to watch a range of terrestrial, music and sports channels. Simply plug your own head phones into the machine for an all new audio visual experience! The majority of upper body resistance machines are independent limbed, they are designed to ensure that both the dominant and non-dominant limbs do equal work and are ideally designed for recovery after injury
The centre was selected as one of only 30 pilot sites in Britain to become a specialist fitness facility catering for people with disabilities. This scheme, known as the Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI) is a nationwide project supported by the National Lottery. The facility has staff that have been trained to help with the specific needs of users with disabilities. Equipment specifically designed to cater for the requirements of individuals with physical disabilities is in place at the facility whilst marketing and promotional materials are available in large print and containing makaton symbols.
The facility has been adapted to cater for physically disabled, visually impaired and blind users and also users with learning difficulties.
