Drama and dance

This amateur theatre group stages three productions a year at the Theatre, usually held in January, April and October.

The Prospect Players stage three productions a year at the Theatre, crossing genres from farce and mystery to musicals and period dramas.

The school provides tap, jazz, disco, street, majorette and baby ballet for children aged two and above, as well as staging regular shows at the Bonington.

The New Youth Theatre group offers musical theatre for children aged three to 16 years, as well as staging a number of promotions each term at the Bonington Theatre.

The group also holds weekly classes at Mansfield’s St John’s Old School Centre where children can prepare for upcoming shows and brush up on their dancing, singing and acting skills.

The society welcomes artists of all abilities to their regular meetings, offering practical sessions throughout the week and demonstrations by professional artists during the winter months.
