1.The Leisure Card is at all times the property of Gedling Borough Council and must be surrendered to the Council on demand. The Leisure Card is annually renewable.
2. The Leisure Card is not transferable and must be used only by the person for whom it was issued. If transferred it will be forfeited.
3. All changes to personal details must be disclosed to Gedling Borough Council.
4. Gedling Borough Council reserves the right to refuse to issue or renew the Leisure Card.
5. The Leisure Card must be available for inspection at any time. If it can not be produced or is in any way not valid the full price for the activity must be paid without right of refund. If required, customers must sign their name as proof of identity.
6. The Leisure Card photograph must at all times be a true likeness of the holder. In the event of a change in the appearance of the cardholder, the Council reserves the right to request a new photograph to be taken.
7. Any loss of the Leisure Card shall be reported immediately to Gedling Borough Council.
8. Any breach of these conditions will render the Leisure Cardholder liable to forfeiture.
9. Completion and signature of the Leisure Card application form will be held to constitute acceptance of these conditions including requirement for a photograph.

11. It is essential that you present your card at reception on every visit.
12. Facilities may be withdrawn or restricted from time to time to perform essential repairs and refurbishment, where possible two weeks notice will be given. Other centres in the Borough may provide the same or similar facilities.
13. Sessions may be limited over Christmas and other holiday periods. Please see notices at the time.
14. In order to avoid disappointment please pre-book all sessions, bookings may be made up to 7 days in advance.
15. The minimum age to join the DNA Fitness Suites and classes is 14 years. The minimum age to join the SHOKK Gym and classes is 8 years. Please note that minimum age to access the SHOKK Gym and classes will vary and be dependent upon programming.
16. Please note under 16’s are not permitted to use free weights outside of the SHOKK Gym.
17. Gedling Leisure reserves the right to refuse entry and / or to withdraw membership at any time.
18. In the event of a class being cancelled or substituted for another class unfortunately no refunds are available.
19. Gedling Leisure reserves the right to alter the programme of activities at the Centres.
20. Use is subject to bookings and availability.
Replacement cards can be purchased at a cost of £1.50 from any Leisure Centre. If the card needs to be replaced through normal wear and tear then a replacement card will be issued free of charge.
All belongings should be kept in lockers since no facilities are available for storing personal belongings in the Fitness Suites. All are left at the customer’s own risk. We strongly recommend that no valuables be left in lockers.
Gedling Leisure accepts no responsibility whatsoever for customer’s property.
In order to protect access for everyone we require 24 hours notice for cancellation of a booking. We reserve the right to charge the normal standard rate for the booking that is not cancelled.
Carers of people with disabilities will be admitted free of charge where this is for the purpose of assisting the disabled person.
No refunds for Gedling Leisure Cards will be given
If you pay by direct debit you hold membership for each month that payments are made. Regardless of which day you join payment must be made for a month in advance. Your subsequent payment will be taken from your account at the next appropriate direct debit date (5th or 20th of the month).
If you join between the 1st and the 15th your payment date will be the 5th and between the 16th and the 31st it will be the 20th. You may change your payment date between the 5th and the 20th after we have received your first direct debit payment.
If your direct debit payment is not collected we automatically invalidate your card.
If there is any change in monthly membership rates, prior notice will be given.
You may cancel your membership at any time, please notify your bank and ourselves.
If you cancel your membership and wish to rejoin you will be charged an administration fee to restart your direct debit.
If you wish to suspend your membership you will be charged £5 per month maintenance fee. A brief letter is required to access this option, and 10 days notice is required. Each case will be reviewed on an individual basis. The council’s decision will be final.
If you make an annual payment for DNA you have the facility to suspend your membership once within that period. The duration of that suspension shall be added on to your membership, extending the time to expiry. No refunds can be given.
If your membership payments are not up to date, Gedling Leisure reserves the right to refuse admission.
Where any refunds are necessary, please note these will normally be issued by cheque from Gedling Borough Council, and will require time for processing.
Financial penalties will be imposed for early termination of the contract. This will depend on the period when the contract is terminated:
The council reserves the right to collect any outstanding payment. At the Council's discretion, it may be possible to temporarily freeze a 9-month contract.
Each case will be reviewed on an individual basis, and the Council's decision will be final. Freezing a contract will incur a cost of £5 per month, and the length of suspension will not affect the outstanding time left on the contract.
Please come in suitable training clothes and trainers
Please bring a towel to wipe down the equipment after use
Please bring water or a drink with you in a plastic sealable bottle/container
For the comfort of others please do not bring mobile phones into the Fitness Suite
The sessions in the Fitness Suite are for 1 hour
At peak times, please limit your time on the C.V. equipment to 10 minutes
Please retain your receipt to present to the Fitness Suite staff on entry.
