General Activities

All our five leisure centres have activities for children which can be paid for on a casual basis. This includes sessions in the swimming pools (float fun, disco swims, free swimming) to activities in the dance studios and sports halls (trampolining, blading, tri-golf, basketball, football, cheer leading etc.)

Xtreme Junior DNA

In 2009 the junior DNA package 'Xtreme' was launched. This package gives children all the advantages of a monthly membership scheme, such as unlimited use of the swimming pools, classes and fitness suites. For more details please visit the DNA web page.

Swimming Lessons

In January 2010 Gedling relaunched the 'learn to swim' scheme. It now follows the Amateur Swimming Association lesson plan, which covers all aspects of learning to swim in seven stages. For more details on the scheme please visit the Gedling 'Swim Stars' page.

Shokk Youth Gym (at Carlton Forum)

Carlton Forum leisure centre has a fabulous state of the art youth gym, which caters specifically for children aged eight to 14yrs. With a recent refurbishment, it's a fanastic space for children to exercise and meet new friends.
