Elite Athletes

The Sports Development team supports the achievements of elite athletes in the borough, as well as developing athletes of the future by:

Gedling Athlete Development Academy

Helping the Gedling School Sports Partnership run the Gedling Athlete Development Academy. The Academy provides an opportunity for children classified as gifted and talented in sport and Physical Education to access training appropriate to their developmental age

Elite Athlete Training Grants

We support elite sportspeople of any age who reach National Squad status in any sport recognised by Sport England. We offer athletes free access to Gedling Borough Council-owned sports facilities and make training grants available to them, as outlined on our Funding Opportunities page
