Gedling Sports Forum

The Forum is steered by the sports clubs in Gedling. It provides a voice for sport in Gedling, promoting sport and physical activity in the borough and improving communication between a wide range of district based organisations and groups.

Any sport club that operates within Gedling Borough Council boundaries can join the Sports Forum. There are over 15 represented clubs currently attending the Sports Forum meetings from a wide variety of sports and new clubs are joining at every meeting.

• Sharing good practice between clubs
• Sports Forum members identify the training that is required locally
• Sports Forum members can then access these courses for free or at a reduced rate
• Coaches can also apply for funding to reduce the cost of their National Governing Body Coaching awards
• Recognising the sporting achievements in Gedling
• Access to specialist advise regarding club issues such as increasing participation, increasing volunteers

How to join
