This Authority has a food sampling programme arranged through the Nottinghamshire Food Sampling Group and which is largely based upon the national Local Authorities Co-ordinators Body of Regulatory Services (LACORS) sampling programme and supplemented by agreed local food sampling in the Notts area. The table below shows the identified foodstuffs that are to be sampled during the 2008-9 period.
April/May 2008 Hot smoked fish.
June Salad vegetables for use in sandwiches from small catering outlets.
July End of shelf life cooked meats (both pre-packed and delcatessen)
August Soft whipped machine dispensed ice cream from mobile vehicles and premises.
September Chinese and Indian buffet or cooked meals, including rice as a separate dish.
October Made to order, site prepared sandwiches.
November to March 2009- Details awaited.
We also want to consider ideas for future microbial sampling of both food stuffs and food businesses from residents and businesses and we would be pleased to receive your sampling suggestions that could be incorporated in a future sampling programme.
