We are responsible for the issuing of licenses to caravan sites that are located in the Gedling Borough area to ensure proper health and safety standards are maintained. For this purpose, caravan sites include any premises containing caravans, mobile and park homes on a permanent, touring and holiday basis.

If after making your application you have not heared from us within a reasonable time please do not hesitate to contact us as detailed above. Where a licence is refused you have the right of appeal the the Magistrate's Court.
Before issuing a licence, we must take the following points into consideration:
There are more than 50 standard conditions that apply to the licensing of caravan sites, additional to a number of specific conditions application to the respective sites. A copy of the site license must be displayed at the site, usually in the site office.
Once licensed, our licensing officers will arrange periodical visits and inspections to make sure the agreed standards are maintained.

Once you have your licence periodic inspections will be undertaken to ensure continued compliance with the site licence conditions.
