Can I see details of a current or decided planning application?
Yes, by using our PublicAccess service. Please make sure, before entering PublicAccess, that you thoroughly read the paragraphs below - which explain copyright and other important information.
PublicAccess is our on-line service that provides details of current and decided planning applications, back to 1977. It also contains details about Planning Appeals.
This facility enables the user to search for, view, track and comment on current planning applications in the Borough, and view the details of decided applications. It also includes the weekly list of applications registered and decisions made.
If you are looking to comment on a planning application, we recommend that you see the Making Representations page beforehand.
The online planning histories contained within PublicAccess are incomplete and should not therefore be used as a substitute for carrying out a formal 'Land Charge Search'. The Borough Council accepts no responsibility for any errors or omissions in the planning history information obtained using PublicAccess. Similarly the information contained in PublicAccess does not constitute a formal notification of a planning decision, and as such any actions that are taken as a result of information displayed on this site are taken entirely at the viewer's own risk.
Plans and other documents are available online for planning applications validated on or after the 1st of August 2005. Whilst every effort has been made to keep the file sizes to a minimum, some of the larger documents, or those with colour, may take some time to download for those with slower connections.
Whilst all plans and drawings available on the website are taken from original scaled drawings, the images will not appear at any particular scale on your computer screen. Figured dimensions, where included, are the only indicators of measurements on these images.
All of the application forms and documents below are available in PDF format to download, print and fill in by hand. To view PDF documents you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is freely available to download from the Adobe website (external link).
For technical or volume reasons, the planning application you are seeking may not have been uploaded. If so, please contact the Borough Council by email to developmentcontrol@gedling.gov.uk or telephone 0115 901 3971.
Plans, drawings and material submitted to the Council are protected by the Copyright Acts (Section 47, 1988 Act). You may only use material which is downloaded and\or printed for consultation purposes, to compare current applications with previous schemes and to check whether developments have been completed in accordance with approved plans. Further copies must not be made without the prior permission of the copyright owner.
