Garden Waste Collection Scheme
The garden waste collection scheme makes it easier for you to recycle waste into compost. If you want to join the scheme call us on 0115 901 3621 or email waste@gedling.gov.uk.
From 1 April 2010 until 31 March 2011 the cost is £33 and we will provide you with a brown bin to put your garden waste in. A second brown bin costs £13 until 31 March 2011. We will collect the bins monthly from January to March and fortnightly from April to December.
If you cannot afford to join the scheme, why not join with a neighbour and share the cost? All you need to do is have one person pay and then ensure the brown bin is left outside their address on collection days.
Here’s what you can and can’t put in your brown bins
