Gedling Proms Lace City Singers

Nottinghamshire’s only barbershop chorus for women meets every Wednesday evening at the Wheldon School and Sports College.

Carlton Male Voice Choir

The 90-strong choir celebrated their centenary in 2008 and hold rehearsals on Wednesday evenings at the Gedling Methodist Church.

Magdala Opera Trust

Magdala is a unique community music organisation that allows people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to discover their creative and vocal talents through the power of opera.

Bestwood Welfare Black Diamonds Brass Band

The band are a community based band who play concerts and contests in the local area and beyond.

The group meet at Bestwood Village Community Centre in Bestwood Village.  The main band meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays 8pm till 10pm and the training band meet on Thursdays 6.45pm till 7.45pm.  For more information contact Richard Greenwood on 0115 8447644.

Newstead Welfare Band

The band provides opportunities for brass and percussion players from across the North-East Midlands to rehearse and perform together to improve their musical abilities and entertain the community.

Carlton Brass

Carlton Brass is a local community brass band that promotes and encourages live music in Nottinghamshire. The band rehearse on Mondays and Fridays.
