Health Schemes

There are a number of schemes ideally-suited for people who don’t exercise regularly or suffer from health problems. The schemes are based around taking part in physical activity or using creative activity to support positive well-being.

The Heartbeats programme is a great way for people with heart conditions to stay active as part of their rehabilitation.

The Positive Moves exercise referral programme offers people with medical conditions the chance to become more active.

The Young Person’s Positive Moves programme targets young people with health problems who may benefit from physical activity.

The Moving More Often scheme aims to get frailer, older people to increase their levels of physical activity

Arts on Prescription works with participants to regain their confidence and improve self-esteem through supported creative activities.

Express Yourself provides arts activities to help build confidence and skills for young people who may be vulnerable or experiencing emotional difficulties.

Get Going in Gedling is our free healthy walking scheme that helps people increase their levels of physical activity.
