Arnold Leisure Centre

In the swimming pool:

  • Shallow angled steps into the swimming pool
  • An Oxford Advanced sling dipper to assist customers to enter the swimming pool at the shallow end of the main pool (maximum weight of 24 stones/ 155kg)
  • Ranger chair (maximum weight of 22 stones/ 140kg) to assist customers to enter the swimming pool area from the disabled changing room
  • Otter Hoist (maximum weight of 350lb/ 160kg) a chair based hoist to assist customer to enter the swimming pool (at the shallow end of the main pool)
  • Oxford hoist (chair based) to assist access into the small or main pool by chair elevation (maximum weight 22 stones/ 140kg)
  • Handrails are also provided in walkways from either the main changing rooms or disabled changing rooms to poolside and shower areas

In the changing rooms:

  • Level flooring from reception to poolside
  • Direct access to poolside from the disabled/ access changing room
  • non-slip floor
  • wall mounted fold down shower / changing bed (maximum weight
  • adjustable and detachable shower head for use with the shower bed, fold down stool or ranger chair
  • Oxford advance dipper mobile hoist (customers will need to bring their own sling- maximum sling size of XL paediatric sling)
  • turning space for wheelchair users
  • support rails, paddle taps and alarms
  • Flashing fire alarms, for those customers with impaired hearing
  • A changing room large enough to accommodate both the user and a carer.

There are designated parking spaces close to the centre for disabled customers and a level floor from the entrance to the reception area and disabled changing rooms. Blue Badge Holders receive free parking on display of a valid permit.

In the theatre:

  • There is a lift up to the 1st floor
  • Evacuation chair is available in case of emergencies
  • There are some designated spaces in the theatre audience for patrons in wheel chairs
Calverton Leisure Centre

The following modifications have been made to make access to the site easier for people with a disability including:

  • parking spaces for people with a disability
  • separate changing area within the swimming pool changing rooms which has a toilet with rails and low sink
  • seat in the shower area
  • disabled wet room
  • easy open front doors with a push pad
  • disabled toilet in the reception area
Carlton Forum Leisure Centre

The following modifications have been made to make access to the site easier for people with a disability including:

  • Disabled Parking Bays and ramps to main reception.
  • A low–deck counter on the main reception desk.
  • An elevator to use all of the upstairs facilities.
  • Level flooring all the way to the Main Pool
  • Ramp leading up to the Small Pool
  • 2 pool hoists, one on each pool, carrying up to 140kg .
  • Wet Side disabled toilet and shower room.
  • 2 Disabled toilets on dry-side, one in Main Reception and one upstairs.
  • Techno gym equipment in the Level 2 fitness Suite which is accessible for disabled gym users.
  • Evac Chairs, used in evacuation procedures when upstairs.
  • Hydraulic Lift Hoist to assist customers getting out of their wheelchair and into Carlton Forum's own chair.
  • Flashing Alarms for hearing imposed customers.
Redhill Leisure Centre

The following facilities/modifications have been made to make access to the site easier for people with a disability including:

  • 5 disabled parking spaces outside the front entrance
  • Automatic doors into the building
  • Disabled toilet and shower
  • All facilities on one level, making access to all rooms easy
