There is a fantastic range of activities available across the borough for children:
We work with arts, drama, music and sports clubs across the borough, to help provide an exciting range of activities for children and young people of all ages.
The leisure centres have a varied programme of activities in the swimming pools (float fun and inflatable sessions, disco swims, parent and toddler sessions) to activities in the dance studios and sports halls (trampolining, gymnastics, roller blading, tri-golf, basketball, football, cheer leading, table tennis, youth gym etc.)
To find out what activities are on at the centres, please visit our activity timetable system for more details.
Children using the leisure centres can receive up to 50% off activities if they own a Concessionary Gedling Leisure Card, or if they go quite frequently it might be better off joining the monthly memebership scheme Xtreme.
Gedling's swimming lessons follow the Amateur Swimming Association lesson plan, which covers all aspects of learning to swim in seven stages. For more details on the scheme please visit the Learn to Swim page.
There is also a fantastic range of parks and teen facilities across the borough for those sunny days.
