Building Control Charges 2011

A charge is made to cover the costs of ensuring that the work complies with the Regulations, this varies according to the type of work you intend to carry out. The charge is the same whichever procedure you follow (Full Plans or Building Notice). Adaptations or extensions solely for the benefit of a disabled person are exempt from charges.

This page covers our most frequent types of application.

Please note that 20% VAT is payable on all Full Plans and Building Notice applications, and this has been included in the Charges shown in the following tables for your convenience. VAT is not payable on Regularisation Certificate applications
