Gedling Borough Council (on behalf of Linby Parish Council) has prepared a SEA Screening Report for the Linby Neighbourhood Development Plan (Draft Plan December 2017). It has been determined that the Plan is not likely to have significant environmental effects and a full SEA is not required in respect of the Plan. A copy of the SEA Screening Report and the decision statement can be viewed below.
A formal application was received from Linby Parish Council requesting that they be recognised as a Neighbourhood Area for the purpose of producing a neighbourhood plan, in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.
Gedling Borough Council publicised this application to produce a neighbourhood plan for a 6 week period during February/April 2016. In response to the application submitted by the Parish Council, the Council has acknowledged that a neighbourhood plan area that reflects the Parish boundary would be a logical and appropriate area for the preparation of a neighbourhood plan. As such, Gedling Borough Council designated the Parish of Linby as a neighbourhood area (as requested by the Parish Council) on 25 April 2016. The name of the neighbourhood area is the 'Linby Neighbourhood Area'.
You can view the designated Linby neighbourhood plan area. The designated map shows the area for which Linby Parish Council intend to prepare a neighbourhood plan, which is the entire Parish of Linby.
A hard copy of the application and map can also be viewed during normal opening hours at the Civic Centre in Arnold.
