Garden waste will only be collected in the bins provided by Gedling Borough Council.
Bins must be placed at the boundary of the property by 7am on the day of collection (6am if a public holiday weekend). Operatives will return bins to this point after emptying. We will not return for bins that are not out when we arrive.
The bin lid must be closed when presented for collection. The contents must be broken down into manageable sized pieces that do not exceed the size of the bin.
Bins that are too heavy for safe handling will not be emptied.
Additional garden waste placed beside bins will not be collected.
There will be no refunds available to residents who wish to cancel. The bin will be collected.
The bin may be transferred to another property within the Borough should the householder move during the scheme. Please notify us on (0115) 901 3621. If the householder moves out of the Borough, there will be no refund.
The collection crews have the right to refuse bins that are contaminated. This may result in the bin being removed and for this there will be no refund.
Please note that if there are unsafe road conditions due to inclement weather the service will be suspended. Please check our website and the local press for any alternative arrangements. We will endeavour to collect any missed bins as soon as possible, when conditions allow.
