About the scheme

We’re working with investors to bring empty houses back into use. Properties across the borough have been left derelict and we want to do something about it. The scheme lets owners advertise their properties and investors look at the empty properties list to see if they’re interested in buying.

The matchmaker scheme is a free service so if you are looking for a new renovation project or you want to sell a property then this is the place to be. Signing up is easy and we will arrange for any introductory meetings between investors and sellers.

Please note the council will only arrange an introductory meeting, we are not providing an estate agency or conveyancing service. All negotiations and sales processes take place between the seller and buyer. We recommend anyone who is seeking to sell their property obtains independent professional valuation, an energy performance certificate and legal advice (from a solicitor or estate agent).
