Disruption to services

The Council's leisure centres will re-open on Saturday 25 July, with new safety measures to enable social distancing and safe workouts. Visit the leisure pages to watch the safety video, see new measures and book a session.

Car parks at the council's parks and green spaces are fully open. Childrens’ play areas, ball parks, skate parks, cafes and public toilets in the council’s parks have re-opened. People remember to follow social distancing guidance

Cafe 1899, at Gedling Country Park, has introduced new safety measures, including needing to pre-book tables.

The Bonington Theatre and Cinema has re-opened for film screenings and has new safety measures in place.

All waste collections are running as scheduled. Please put your bin/glass box out the night before your scheduled collection day, as collection times may vary. 

Following Government advice, the council has introduced temporary changes to cemetery services across the borough during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Civic Centre in Arnot Hill Park is open to the public on an appointment-only basis. You can still access many of our services via this website or call the customer services team on 0115 901 3901.

Planned public events, including Arnold Carnival and the Pride of Gedling Awards have been postponed until further notice. These changes will be constantly reviewed.
