Get the apprenticeship: successful applications 

Experienced National Careers Service Advisers will be delivering an interactive workshop designed to help you to understand the skills, qualities and experiences needed to complete a professional, employer focused apprenticeship application.  Post workshop, further one to one application and interview advice will be available.

About Futures

Futures provides free careers advice and guidance to Nottingham residents via the various contracts we manage on behalf of funding bodies such as the ESFA / ESF and Nottingham City Council.  The contract I represent is the National Careers Service, an ESFA funded service that aims to develop the skills, confidence and ability of our clients with a view to gain sustainable employment.

As a Domiciliary care worker you will go to people's homes in the community and provide them with their care needs and support them to have as much choice and independence in their lives and surrounding their care needs. Our clients are generally vulnerable adults with care requirements, but we do offer care to some middle aged clients.

We are looking for people who care a lot about people and want to do everything they can to make each clients life better and build positive working relationships with them.

Important traits to have are to be reliable, able to demonstrate initiative, willing to work as part of a team and independently, trustworthy, adaptable, caring and wanting to make a difference in people's lives.
