Description

The Christmas Light Switch On will take place on Friday 18 November from 4.30pm, taking place outside the council’s new AMP building at the former Arnold Market site.

The event will feature performances from local schools including Richard Bonington Primary School, Redhill Academy, Arnold View Primary and Pinewood Infant School, local choirs Nottingham Boys Choir and the Invisible Friends before the lights are switched on by The Mayor of Gedling, Councillor Peter Barnes at 6pm.

An indoor craft fair will be open next to the event, at Arnold Methodist Church, with stalls selling items such as cards, festive food and gifts, and there will also be a special visit from Santa at the event.

Stage programme, all times are approximate:
  • 4.30pm – Robert Mellors Primary School

  • 4.50pm - Arnold View Primary School

  • 5.10pm - Pinewood Infants School

  • 5.25pm - Redhill Academy

  • 5.40pm - Richard Bonington Primary

  • 5.55pm -  Address from Rev Yanyan Case of Arnold Methodist Church followed by the Switch on of the Christmas lights from the Mayor of Gedling, Cllr Peter Barnes and the Youth Mayor Fatima Malik at 6pm

  • 6.05pm - Flying High Expressive Arts Company

  • 6.20pm - Nottingham Boy’s Choir

  • 6.45pm - Invisible Friends Choir
