Gedling Borough Council and the Department for Work and Pensions are hosting a Employment Health and Wellbeing Event at the St. George's Centre in Netherfield on Thursday 19 May.

The free event is a great chance to pick up some tips on job seeking from local employers, Jigsaw Homes and the National Careers Service.

Come along to meet with employers including B & M, Morrisons, Amazon and more, all with current vacancies. Advice and support will be available to help you to complete online applications.

The event will also have teams from the Nottingham Energy Partnership, Severn Trent Water and other organisations who can offer advice around money saving measures.

Gedling Leisure are attending to help advise on getting more active and keeping fit and there will be support about healthy eating.

Trentside Medical Team will be doing free blood pressure and diabetes checks on the day.

Community safety advice will be available from Gedling Borough Council Safety Advisors and the Neighbourhood Policing Team.

Gedling Borough Council's housing team will be on hand to offer support and advice about homelessness.

The Carers Foundation will be available to offer advice and support at the event too.

There is no need to book a place, just pop in between 10am and 3pm.
