The Mayor of Gedling, Councillor Peter Barnes, will be hosting a special Carol Concert to raise money for children with cancer.

The Gedling Borough Civic Christmas Concert will take place this Saturday, 10 December at St Paul’s Church, Mansfield Road, Daybrook.

Carlton Male Voice Choir will be performing Christmas music and carols and there will be refreshments and mince pies.

The event is free entry and the Mayor will be raising funds on the evening for his chosen charity, Nottingham Hospitals Charity, who help children with cancer.

The event will start at 7pm and is open to all. Anyone who wishes to attend are asked to confirm their attendance by emailing civic@gedling.gov.uk in advance.

It’s a wonderful time of year for so many and to hear the fantastic Carlton Male Voice Choir in the beautiful setting of St Paul’s will get everyone in the Christmas spirit. I am also very pleased to be raising money for the incredible work they do at Nottingham Hospitals Charity to help the sick boys and girls there.”
