Nottinghamshire Day events in Arnold Town Centre

We've organised a series of events to celebrate Nottinghamshire Day, which takes place on Friday 25 August.

The Nottinghamshire Flag will be raised outside the Civic Centre in Arnot Hill Park.

Activities will be taking place throughout the day across Arnold Town Centre, including a pop up makers' market outside The AMP (Front Street), featuring Nottinghamshire-based businesses, inclusive skateboard sessions from Skate Nottingham at King George V Skate Park, as well as craft and storytelling workshops from Gedling Play Forum.

Dice & Balls, who will be opening their new venue at The AMP later this year, will be offering circus skills workshops and games to take part in, alongside stilt walking performances throughout the day.

World famous Nottingham icons Robin Hood and Friar Tuck will also be visiting the town centre during the day to speak to visitors and see what the event has to offer.

• Makers' Market: 9am – 3pm, The AMP, Arnold, NG5 6ND
• Visit from Robin Hood and Friar Tuck: 11am - 1pm, The AMP / King George V Recreation Ground
• Skate Nottingham free skateboard workshops: 11am – 2pm, King George V Recreation Ground
• Gedling Play Forum free crafts and storytelling: 11am – 3pm, King George V Recreation Ground
• Dice & Balls free circus skills workshop and games: 11am – 3pm, King George V Recreation Ground

Digital Safari

As well as the events taking place on the day, a free interactive digital safari will be available, where you can follow a trail in Arnold Town Centre scanning QR codes that are displayed in shop windows. Once a QR code is scanned the "Curious Creatures Safari" will present you with challenges, riddles and encounters with creatures from the Curious Creatures story. Once all codes have been scanned, you will be able to download a free story e-book. The digital safari runs until 4 September. Find out more about the digital safari on our event page.
