Description

Come along for a day of environmental, wellbeing and creative activities for all ages, to celebrate World Peace Day.

There will be lots of free activities to take part in on the day, including:

  • Environmental play and craft activities
  • Outdoor theatre from Handmade Theatre and Circo Rum Ba Ba
  • Help create a new willow sculpture for the park
  • Live music
  • Community stalls
  • Guided walks around the park

There’s no need to book, just come along and join in the fun.

Timed activities:

  • 11am, 11.30am, 1pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm, 3pm: Circo Rum Ba Ba ‘The Whale’
  • 11am and 12.30pm: Art of Nature Wellbeing – guided mind walk. 
  • 12pm and 2pm: Handmade Theatre ‘Tell Me a Story’
  • 12.30pm and 2pm: Hope Community Gospel Choir (30 minute long performances)

 

Please note that on-site parking is limited. There are car parks on Spring Lane and Lambley Lane Recreation Ground (both car parks have a 2 metre height restriction). You can also reach the park by bus; Nottingham City Transport Sky Blue Bus Service 47 provides a regular service to the bus stop outside the main entrance to the park on Spring Lane. Nottingham City Transport Red Services 44 and 44A run along Arnold Lane, alongside the junction with Lambley Lane. It is then a short walk along Lambley Lane to the car park and southern entrance to the park via the recreation ground.

This event has been organised by Gedling Borough Council and the Friends of Gedling Country Park. It is funded by the UK Government.
