Spring Fair and Model Submarines at Papplewick Pumping Station

Papplewick Pumping Station is hosting its Spring Fair, featuring two marquees full of craft and artisan stalls as well as on the main lawn. Model submarines and boats will be sailing on the Cooling Pond and on the Bank Holiday Monday there will be music from top covers band The Pulse.
The 1884 twin James Watt Beam Engines are in full steam this weekend along with the Galloway Boiler, Robey Winding Engine, a Steevens & Wallis steam roller and a miniature passenger carrying railway. There is also a picnic area within the landscaped gardens, a woodland play area, tea room and gift shop along with additional outside catering.
Regular trips to see the amazing 1879 underground reservoir with its Cathedral style ceilings throughout the day. (Weather permitting and small charge payable)
Papplewick Pumping Station is located between Burntstump Hill and Longdale Lane, and is Britain’s finest and most ornate working Victorian water pumping station.
