Generation rent consultation
We want to hear the views of people living in privately rented properties
With 1000's of privately rented homes in Gedling, we want to find out how we can better support private renters in our area. While most privately rented homes in Gedling are in good condition, there are some where repairs or essential improvements have been neglected and a minority where criminal landlords rent out homes that are unsafe to live in.
Gedling Borough Council is working to ensure that homes in the district are secure, safe and energy efficient. We want to find out more about the experience of private renters so we can work towards improving our support for residents now and in the future.
As part of this, Gedling Council has partnered with Generation Rent, the national campaigning body for private renters, to launch a pilot consultation with private renters in three wards: Killisick, Netherfield & Colwick and Newstead.
This is a new experience for us, and we would really like to hear your story. For the first part of the consultation, we are launching a survey which will run from 10th May until 21st June and which will be open to all private renters in Gedling. We’ll also be working alongside renters later in the year, holding forums and focus group discussions.
