The False Acacia as it is commonly known was introduced into France in 1601 from America and is now nautralised throughout Europe. This is a largish irregular shaped tree growing to seventeen metres with soft green pinnate leaves that look similar to Ash leaves that emerge in early May and are followed by sweetly, scented white flowers in June.
