Common Name – Pride of India

Latin Name – Koelreuteria paniculata

Height -   10 Metres

This is an elegant small to medium deciduous tree, native to Eastern Asia with pinnate leaves that are pinkish in spring, but turning yellow in autumn. Small yellow flowers appear in July and August and then are followed by papery thin ornamental lantern bladdery bronze seed pods. While these sees are edible once roasted, they are not commonly eaten.
