Recycle your Christmas Tree
You can use our Christmas tree collection service to recycle your real Christmas tree, once the festivities are over.
Instead of taking your tree to the tip, or trying to stuff it in your garden waste bin, for just £7 we will come and collect your tree from outside your home. The trees will be collected and recycled and the wood chippings from the trees will be re-distributed across nature areas and parks throughout the borough.

You must book a Christmas tree collection. Christmas trees will not be taken if just left with your household waste bin.
Please put your tree out by 6am on the day of your collection and make sure that you have removed all decorations, tree stand, soil, pots and netting. If your tree is not out on your booked collection date, I'm afraid we will not be able to return to pick it up another day.
Gedling Borough residents can also dispose of their Christmas tree at the Household Waste and Recycling Centre on Hollinwood Lane, Calverton NG14 6NR. (To arrange for a collection of an artificial Christmas tree, you will need to book a bulky collection.)
