Recycle your Christmas Tree
After the festive period, we can collect and recycle real Christmas trees from residents and businesses across the borough for just £5 per tree.
The trees will be collected and recycled and the wood chippings from the trees will be re-distributed across nature areas and parks throughout the borough.
Tree collections took place from 9-20 January 2023.
Bookings for Christmas tree collections are now closed.
You must book a Christmas tree collection. Christmas trees will not be taken if just left with your household waste bin.
Please put your tree out by 6am on the day of your collection and make sure that you have removed all decorations, tree stand, soil, pots and netting. If your tree is not out on your booked collection date, I'm afraid we will not be able to return to pick it up another day.
Gedling Borough residents can also dispose of their Christmas tree at the Household Waste and Recycling Centre on Hollinwood Lane, Calverton NG14 6NR.
